Payconiq - Motion Design
Primetime TV commercial to debut Payconiq's branding update that now includes 3D graphics
Payconiq is a European mobile payment platform that allows users to make payments via their smartphones. In 2024 they joined forces with Air for their communication & advertising. Part of this being to evolve their graphic identity. For the refresh of their branding, they stylistically changed their illustration library to 3D graphics. We were responsible for animation and motion design as part of the design update. The first implementation of this style was through a television commercial and social media posts.
These animation video’s were broadcasted during a Payconiq sponsored episode of De Mol, a prime-time television game show here in Belgium with over a million viewers. That’s almost 1 out of 10 Belgians, to put it in perspective.
As it’s part of the identity, we had to keep in mind how the motion design and dynamics could be used in the future. The briefing basically was to add a ‘cool’ vibe to, what’s in most cases considered..not that 'cool’; a banking app. We had lots of fun exploring the way the money could fly around, the way typography could loop in a dynamic type way but still be legible and work for all lengths of text. How the different aspects of the animation could be viable in all formats ranging from square instagram commercial to vertical stories, and television broadcasts.
